Rachel McAdams is in talks to join the Untitled Cameron Crowe Project, alongside Bradley Cooper and Emma Stone.

The romantic comedy centers on a defense contractor (Bradley Cooper) who is in Hawaii to oversee the launch of a weapons satellite. However, he ends up falling for an Air Force pilot (Emma Stone), as they work together to sabotage the launch. The story also features a talking computer and supernatural island forces. Rachel McAdams will play an ex-girlfriend of Bradley Cooper's character.

Cameron Crowe is directing from his own screenplay, and producing alongside Scott Rudin. Production is scheduled to begin this September.

Rachel McAdams stars in director Terrence Malick's To the Wonder, which opens in limited release this weekend. She will next be seen in About Time from director Richard Curtis, which opens November 8.
