Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Rachel Weisz is going to star in Jackie.

The film looks at the days following President Kennedy's assassination and Weisz will play the late former first lady Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy. Her fiancee, Darren Aronofsky is going to direct and produce this film.

Initially this project had been rumored to be a Steven Spielberg-produced telefilm for HBO. However, the director is not involved in any way. This film marks the second time that Weisz and Aronofsky have worked together. They did The Fountain in 2006.

The script for Jackie was written by Noah Oppenheim.
