Rebecca Hall has boarded the indie drama Everything Must Go, starring opposite Will Ferrell in the Temple Hill Entertainment project.

According to Variety, Everything Must Go is written and directed by Dan Rush, and based on the Raymond Carver short story. The script centers on a relapsed alcoholic -- portrayed by Ferrell -- who loses his job and his wife and decides to live on his front lawn while selling all of his belongings.

Hall will star as a newcomer to the neighborhood who forges a special bond with Ferrell's character.

Everything Must Go is the feature directorial debut for Rush, who's mostly worked in commercials. It's also his first screenplay and landed on the Black List.

No production date has been set.
