Brian De Palma and Mark Cuban certainly make an interesting pair.

In a story from Home Media Magazine, it seems that Cuban is planning to make De Palma's next film, Redacted, a "superrelease." In addition to playing in theaters, the film will hit DVD shelves and the internet all on the same day.

HDNet Films, Cuban's production company, is currently in preproduction on Redacted with plans for it to start shooting in March.

Redacted "is reportedly based the rape and murder of a 14-year old Iraqi girl and the killing of her family members by U.S. soldiers." The film will be released "in 2008 simultaneously in theaters (Cuban's Landmark Theaters), on DVD (from Magnolia Pictures) and on the Internet (HDNet)."
