When new and exciting faces emerge in the world of entertainment, audiences flock to see all of their new projects. Regé-Jean Page emerged from the shadows when he became Simon, our favorite Duke on Netflix’s drama show Bridgerton. Page was quick to step into this massive spotlight in such a viral sensation of a show that it was easy to see that his career is on the up and up. However, although Bridgeton is considered his “breakout” performance, Page has been acting for quite some time.

Page is an English actor who has been doing this since 2001. In that year, he participated in his first professional acting gig, playing Tanaka in the show Gimme 6. Also, most recently, Page was part of the star-studded ensemble of actors in Netflix’s The Gray Man that includes the likes of Ryan Gosling, Ana de Armas, and Chris Evans. Page’s career is only going to get bigger so, if you aren’t already, the time is now for you to hop on the Regé-Jean Page train! Although we know his acting career will continue to grow and blossom, let’s take some time to rank some of his best performances so far.

Netflix

Netflix has been dominating the streaming service industry for the last few years, and many of the high-budget original projects have been making headlines. Page was part of the cast of one of their most recent releases, the action-thriller movie The Gray Man, which has received very mixed reviews since its release. The Gray Man has many things audiences want from a great action movie, like sketchy agencies, assassins, and well-choreographed sequences. Not to mention the cast is absolutely stacked with talent. It includes Page, Ryan Gosling, Ana de Armas, and Chris Evans.

4 For The People

The show, created by Grey's Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers, ran for two seasons on ABC and follows a group of new lawyers that are tasked with working on some of the largest cases in the country. Now, we know that there are so many law dramas out there, but this is one to check out.

The 2020 romance drama Sylvie's Love is a beautiful second-chance romance. We have a woman named Sylvie, who has a summer fling one year, and when the man waltzes right back into her life, the flames that burned all those years ago are still burning. This movie takes place in 1950s Harlem with Page playing Chico Sweetney, Tessa Thompson as Sylvie, Nnamdi Asomugha playing Robert, and Aja Naomi King as Mona. If you want to check out this movie, which you definitely should, it is streaming on Amazon Prime.

1 Bridgerton

Netflix

We burn for Bridgerton season 1. The first season of Bridgerton should be framed and hung up for how much is impacted popular culture in 2020. The Netflix show is a screen adaptation of Julia Quinn's Bridgerton book series. Page stars in the series as Simon Bassett, a bachelor and Duke who establishes relations with the eldest Bridgerton daughter Daphne, played by Phoebe Dynevor. The chemistry between them is off the charts and after participating in this project, Page became a huge name in the industry. Although he chose not to continue playing Simon on the very successful second season of the show, we are all still holding out hope for a cameo or appearance here and there in the future. That said, per Yahoo, Page has recently given his blessings to the Bridgerton to recast his role.
