Renee Zellweger is going to begin her career as a producer with the help from Harvey and Bob Weinstein.

The movie moguls and their Weinstein Company have bought the rights to distribute the new film Miss Potter from Phoenix Pictures and David Kirschner Productions. The film, based on the life of famed children's author, Beatrix Potter, is currently shooting in Britain, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Zellweger will play Potter, along side her co-stars Ewan McGregor and Emily Watson; Babe's Chris Noonan is taking the helm as director. The Bridget Jones Diary actress will serve as executive producer.

Miss Potter is set to open in theaters sometime in 2007.
