Saban Films will soon release the new film Renegades and MovieWeb has an exclusive clip to provide viewers with an early sneak peek. Following a group of former Special Forces operatives reuniting to dole out vengeance when one of their own is murdered, the film will hit theaters on Dec. 2 with a release On Demand and Digital following on Dec. 6, 2022. For now, you can watch the clip below, featuring Lee Majors as a veteran offering help to one of the guys of the group, apparently before things hit the fan.

Producer Jonathan Sothcott conceived the story with Tom Jolliffe writing the screenplay and Daniel Zirilli directing. Along with Majors, the film stars Nick Moran, Lee Majors, Ian Ogilvy, Patsy Kensit, Billy Murray, Paul Barber, Jeanine Nerissa Sothcott, Michael Paré, Stephanie Beacham, Michael Brandon, Louis Mandylor, and Danny Trejo. Friday star Tommy ‘Tiny’ Lister also posthumously appears in one of his final roles.

The official synopsis for Renegades reads:

When Veteran Green Beret Carver (Majors) is murdered by a drug gang controlled by Goram (Mandylor) that has been threatening his daughter (Patsy Kensit), his old Special Forces comrades (Moran, Ogilvy, Murray, Barber) reunite to seek revenge, aided by the enigmatic Sanchez (Trejo). As these Renegades dispense their own brand of justice on the mean streets of London with the police (Sothcott) hot on their trail, they must use every trick in their war hero playbook to stay one step ahead of the sinister gang.

The filmmakers behind Renegades have promised that they have something special in store for fans with the movie. Along with recognizable genre names like Lee Majors and Danny Trejo attached, Renegades also features plenty of satisfying action sequences that makes it worthy of its R rating. Teasing that the film stands apart from your typical action movie, producer Jonathan Sothcott also previously revealed that there are already plans in place for a sequel to be developed. Could this be the start of the newest action franchise?

Renegades delivers on every level for audiences, with a wonderful cast of beloved veteran actors, high octane action sequences, and a clever, witty script that elevates it above the standard ‘bang bang’ fare,” Sothcott said, via FlickeringMyth. “We believe we have an instant cult movie and are already developing a sequel.”

Renegades will be released in theaters on Dec. 2. Its On Demand and Digital release follows on Dec. 6. The movie is rated R for violence throughout, pervasive language, and drug use. You can get another look at the film by watching the official trailer below.
