Recently MTV was granted a visit to the set of Underworld: Evolution. This movie is a follow-up to 2003’s highly successful vampires vs. warewolves film, Underworld. This was the 59th of a 71 day shoot and they just happened to be lensing the final battle scene.

Apparently, this movies success at the box office was further bolstered by a very strong performance when it came to DVD.

“It was quite shocking [that] the DVD sales had matched the box-office sales,"

says writer/director Len Wiseman,

"and it definitely has been something that has grown."

MTV even got some words from the movie’s star, Kate Beckinsale.

"He's like, 'I definitely don't want to risk killing her this time,' "

laughs the leather clad heroine, who is married to Wisemen and actually remembers her feelings for him growing when they worked together on the original Underworld.

"The first time, he had no real qualms about pushing me off a building or throwing me through a window, [but now] he's much more likely to say, 'I think we should have the stunt girl do this. What do you think, Kate?' That's one of the things that's been really nice, having been involved in the project right from the moment of it being conceived. The nice thing with Len and I is we've always had such a similar take on a lot of things."
