With production on the action sequel Bad Boys 4 currently underway, the cast has expanded with the addition of an Emmy nominee. Rhea Seehorn, who is best known for her fan favorite role as Kim Wexler in Better Call Saul, has just boarded the cast of Bad Boys 4. The news of Seehorn's casting comes to us from Deadline, though as of now, no details have yet been revealed about her character.

Of course, the film will reunite Martin Lawrence and Will Smith to reprise their roles from the franchise as Detectives Marcus Burnett and Mike Lowrey. Along with Seehorn, another newcomers to come into the series with Bad Boys 4 include Eric Dane (Euphoria) and Ioan Gruffudd (Fantastic Four). Tasha Smith (Empire) is also taking over the role of Marcus's wife, Theresa, who was previously played by Theresa Randle. Another returning franchise stars include Paola Nunez, Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, and John Salley.

Also coming back for Bad Boys 4 are directors Bilall Fallah and Adil El Arbi, who previously helmed Bad Boys for Life. The new screenplay comes from Chris Bremner. Jerry Bruckheimer is producing with Smith and Doug Belgrad.

Seehorn played Kim Wexler in more than 60 episodes of Better Call Saul, and while she wasn't in the show's parent series, Breaking Bad, her character quickly rose as a favorite with the fans. Throughout all six seasons, Seehorn has garnered great praise for her work, and she was nominated for an Emmy last year for her performance in the final season. She could potentially be nominated again this year, as the back half of the final season will be eligible.

Seehorn is also the co-creator, director, and executive producer of the short-form series Cooper's Bar, which was made available for streaming on AMC+. Last month, it was reported that Cooper's Bar was moving to IFC where it would be given full 30-minute episodes. Seehorn was also nominated for Cooper's Bar in addition to her Emmy nomination for Better Call Saul. In the series, Seehorn plays a Hollywood executive working with the owner and patrons of a Tiki Bar to develop a TV series set in the business.

Meanwhile, Seehorn will also be reuniting with Better Call Saul co-creator Vince Gilligan for another big project. She's been cast as the lead in an untitled series created by Gilligan that's already been ordered for two seasons at Apple TV+. No details have been revealed about the plot or Seehorn's character, but the show is not connected to Better Call Saul in any way.

On the film side, Seehorn recently appeared in the sci-fi dramedy Linoleum with Jim Gaffigan. It was released in select theaters earlier this year after having its world premiere at last year's SXSW. Seehorn has also appeared in films like The Shaggy Dog, Inside Man: Most Wanted, and Things Heard & Seen.

Bad Boys 4 doesn't yet have a release date, but for more of Seehorn, you can stream all six seasons of Better Call Saul on Netflix.
