Rhino Entertainment is going to the Inland Empire.

In a story from Home Media Retailing, the company, known for releasing eclectic titles, is partnering with David Lynch to bring his new film out on DVD. The film follows a woman who gets mixed up in a mystery landing her in trouble in the Inland Empire near Los Angeles.

The film "was shot entirely on a Sony DSR-PD150 digital camera."

The movie is coming out theatrically in December from 518 Media. Lynch is very excited about the prospects of what he will do with the DVD.

"The DVD will be really cool," he states. "It will have so much great stuff on there. I am going to load it up and make it exactly the way I want it."

According to Rhino VP Sig Sigworth, the Inland Empire DVD should be out sometime in the summer of 2007.
