Universal Pictures' Riddick has officially been given an R rating. It received the rating due to strong violence, language and some sexual content/nudity.

The film continues the story of Riddick, who was betrayed by his people and left for dead on a isolated planet. Riddick (Vin Diesel) fights for survival against aliens and becomes more powerful than ever before. Soon after, bounty hunters from the far reaches of the galaxy attempt to capture the fugitive only to find themselves victims of his revenge.

The sequel stars Vin Diesel, Karl Urban, Jordi Mollà, Matthew Nable, Katee Sackhoff, Bokeem Woodbine, Dave Bautista, Conrad Pla, Raoul Trujillo, Nolan Gerard Funk and Keri Hilson.
