Kevin Hart and Ice Cube lead the returning lineup of Ride Along 2, the sequel to the blockbuster action-comedy that gave us the year's most popular comedy duo. Joining Kevin Hart and Ice Cube for the next chapter of the series are director Tim Story, as well as Ice Cube's fellow producers, Will Packer, Matt Alvarez and Larry Brezner, who will produce alongside Cube. The rest of the cast includes Olivia Munn, Ken Jeong, Nadine Velazquez, Tika Sumpter and Benjamin Bratt.

Ben Barber (Kevin Hart) has graduated from the police academy and is now a full fledged Atlanta P.D. cop, and wants to make it as a detective. James (Ice Cube), Ben's soon to be brother-in-law, is still annoyed by his tactics. Ben is about to get married to James' sister Angela, but their boss Lt. Brooks (Bruce McGill) assigns them on a huge case that is in Miami, where they will be working with the Miami Police Department.

Ben and James venture to Miami to work on a case that involves a mysterious and dashing figure named Serge Pope. While there, they team up with Maya, a smart and beautiful detective. Ben looks forward to proving himself and hopes the case runs smoothly so that he can return to Atlanta in time for his wedding. But when it comes to these two, nothing ever goes as planned.

The original Ride Along opened in early 2014 and was a smash hit, solidifying Ice Cube and Kevin Hart as a new comedy duo not to be tangled with. The film pulled in a healthy $134.9 million from a low $25 budget. A sequel was announced almost immediately, and will be released only a short two years later. It's all fun and games until someone crashes into the dinner table!
