With production scheduled to begin shortly, Rob Riggle has joined the growing cast of the upcoming comedy Absolutely Anything from Monty Python director Terry Jones.

The story centers on Neil Clarke (Simon Pegg), a mild-mannered teacher who is suddenly given supernatural powers by a group of aliens, which turns anything he desires into a reality. Robin Williams voices Neil's trusted dog Dennis, whom Neil turns to for help. After a string of accidents, Neil is forced to choose between his dog and the woman of his dreams, Catherine (Kate Beckinsale).

Rob Riggle is portraying Colonel Grant, with Terry Jones and his longtime Monty Python partners John Cleese, Terry Gilliam and Michael Palin voicing the aliens. Eddie Izzard, Joanna Lumley and Sanjeev Bhaskar also star in unspecified roles.

Terry Jones is directing from a script he co-wrote with Gavin Scott. The first poster released last month revealed that production will begin on March 24, but this new report from Deadline reveals that shooting will begin sometime this April in London.

Rob Riggle most recently starred in The Internship, and he will next be seen in 22 Jump Street and Dumb and Dumber To.
