We can't be too far away from an official trailer for The Munsters, the upcoming reimagining of the classic sitcom by director Rob Zombie, as the official one-sheet poster has just been unveiled. Zombie has taken to social media to share the poster, and highlighted are the movie's three lead stars: Jeff Daniel Phillips as Herman, Sheri Moon Zombie as Lily, and Dan Roebuck as The Count, a.k.a. Grandpa Munster. The three were previously featured in a sneak peek teaser trailer revealing some of the first footage of the film.

The new poster also has the three lead stars front and center at 1313 Mockingbird Lane. While it's clear that Zombie has gone through great efforts to make the reboot a very faithful adaptation, fans of The Munsters will still certainly notice that two prominent family members have been oddly absent from all of the marketing and sneak peeks. It remains unclear what exactly Zombie has planned for Marilyn Munster and Eddie Munster, but perhaps those answers will finally come when the filmmaker releases the full trailer, whenever that might be.

Sharing the new poster to Instagram, Zombie stated, "Check it out ! The official one-sheet poster for THE MUNSTERS has arrived! So ghoulie groovy good!" You can take a look at the new poster below.

In one way, Rob Zombie will be including the original Marilyn and Eddie Munster from the classic sitcom. Pat Priest, who shared the role of Marilyn in The Munsters with the late Beverley Owen, has been announced for a special role in the film. It was recently revealed by Zombie that Eddie actor Butch Patrick will also be featured, playing the role of Tin Can Man. There's no word yet on if the actual Eddie and Marilyn characters will be present in the reboot, and, if so, who is playing the two family members.

Some of the confirmed cast members include Richard Brake, Sylvester McCoy, Jorge Garcia, Catherine Schell, Cassandra Peterson, Dee Wallace, Jeremy Wheeler, Tomas Boykin, Roderick Hill, and Mark Griffith. The first cast members to be officially unveiled were Jeff Daniel Phillips, Sheri Moon Zombie, and Dan Roebuck in their lead roles. Zombie has to know that fans are asking about the status of Eddie and Marilyn so perhaps he has been saving these announcements for last.

It's not exactly clear when The Munsters will be released but it is expected to arrive this fall. There have been various rumors as to whether it will go straight to streaming or have a day-and-date release while also playing in theaters, but hopefully more information about its release will be coming soon. What is known is that the movie is rated PG, a first for horror filmmaker Rob Zombie's career. Even though this is partly new territory for Zombie, many fans are still confident in what he's doing with the reboot as he's always clearly been a huge fan of the original series.
