Anchor Bay Entertainment has a deal in for Rob Zombie's horrific witch tale The Lords of Salem. The film was screened during the Toronto Film Festival's Midnight Madness program earlier this week. Image and Millennium Entertainment are also in the running to acquire the film's distribution rights.

The film centers a Salem hard-rock radio DJ, who after playing sinister heavy metal music awakens to a coven of 17th century witches. Rob Zombie produced the film with Jason Blum, Oren Peli, Steven Schneider and Andy Gould.

Rob Zombie previously directed the classic remakes Halloween and Halloween II.
