Legendary actors Robert De Niro and Al Pacino are looking to reunite once more on a new film that Martin Scorsese is developing entitled The Irishman, according to Deadline New York.

The project is being set up at Paramount. The story revolves around the true-life exploits of mafia contract killer Frank "The Irishman" Sheeran. Robert De Niro and his producing partner Jane Rosenthal have been developing the movie with Martin Scorsese, and it was stated that Joe Pesci is eyeing a role as well. It wasn't clear what roles Robert De Niro, Al Pacino or Joe Pesci would be taking on for this new movie, or who would be playing Frank "The Irishman" Sheeran.

Steven Zaillian adapted the script from the Charles Brandt book I Hear You Paint Houses, in which Sheeran was allegedly involved in the murder of Jimmy Hoffa.
