Having just completed the politically themed Lions for Lambs, Robert Redford will follow up that film with yet another political project. According to Variety, the director will soon jump behind the camera for Against All Enemies.

The film is an adaptation of the Richard A. Clarke memoir of the same name. The narrative centers on Clarke, who served as a counterterrorism advisor to three presidents. He charges that the Bush administration prioritized Iraq above threats from Al Qaeda both before and after the September 11th attacks.

Jamie Vanderbilt wrote the screenplay. The film will most likely go into production early next year for a 2009 release date.
