Warner Bros. has set Robin Williams and Mandy Moore to star in License to Wed, a romantic comedy that will begin shooting in L.A. and Mexico in May. John Krasinski (The Office: Season One) is in early talks to play Moore's love interest.
Ken Kwapis is directing the pic, co-financed by Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow Pictures.
Variety reports the story revolves around a young couple whose wedding plans are interrupted when the pushy minister (Williams) of the bride's family church orders the pair to complete a two-week prenup course. They must pass the class if they want to marry in his church. The groom fails the course and loses the girl but fights to win her back.
The picture will be produced by Mike Medavoy and Arnold Messer of Phoenix Pictures, Robert Simonds and Nick Osborne. Trevor Engelson is co-producing. Script was penned by Kim Barker and rewritten by Dan Fogelman and Roger Kumble.
