Sony Pictures has moved RoboCop out of its August 9, 2013 release date, pushing it to February 7, 2014. The sci-fi reboot starring Joel Kinnaman as the title character is currently shooting in Toronto. It will now go up against DreamWorks' video game adaptation Need for Speed.

Filling in for the crime-fighting cyborg is Neill Blomkamp's Elysium, moving from March 1, 2013 to RoboCop's vacated August 9, 2013 date. The sci-fi thriller will face the New Line Cinema comedy We're the Millers.

The studio has also moved Cloudy 2: Revenge of the Leftovers from February 7, 2014 to September 27, 2013, where it will face Fox's Runner, Runner and Summit's The Tomb. Lasly, Sony has taken the animated project Pixels off its release calender. It was originally slated for release on May 17, 2013.
