CBS 3 reported yesterday that the Rocky Balboa production team has moved back to the heart of the first Rocky movie, inside the city of Philidelphia.

Numerous trailers were parked at the Laurel Hill Cemetery in the Strawberry Mansion section of the city as the first day of filming in Philadelphia began Monday.

St. Thomas Aquinas church is another planned location for the film, which may be a familiar site for fans of the series.

“In the original film, Rocky came her and got married,” said production publicist Cheryl Main.

“Philadelphia is unique and because it is Rocky’s home, we need to come back here because it would be a cheat not to,” said Main.
