Rob Lurie's next project will be Nothing but the Truth. According to Variety, he has written the script himself.

The drama focuses on a D.C.-based female news reporter who is sent to prison after refusing to share her sources. The film is loosely based on CIA agent Valerie Plum whose identity was exposed after her Ambassador husband wrote a NY Times piece that charged the Bush Administration with manipulating intelligence to justify the invasion of Iraq.

Lurie is looking to cast some pretty big names in the film. Kate Beckinsale, Matt Dillon, Vera Farmiga, Edie Falco, and Alan Alda are all in negotiations to appear in the drama.

Lurie is aiming to shoot his film before Warner Brothers is able to get a similar project off the ground. A start date has not yet been set.
