AT-ATs! The Death Squad! This is awesome! Today, the official Star Wars Instagram page unveiled the first look at Rogue One: A Star Wars Story toy package art. Here's what they had to say about this image, which will adorn all of the upcoming collectables and action figures heading our way this fall.

Revealed! Powerful packaging for the toys, collectibles, and more of #RogueOne: A #StarWars Story. In stores this fall!

Back in February, it was announced that Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is getting it's own Force Friday. The 2nd annual event was officially announced at Toy Fair 2016. Just like last September, when the first Force Friday unleashed a tsunami of toys and other Star Wars: The Force Awakens merchandise into stores, this next epic event will be tailored around the arrival of the first-ever Star Wars spinoff, which hits theaters in December.

Rogue One is going to hit retailers hard on September 30, 2016. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story revolves around a group of rebel soldiers who go on an impossible mission to steal plans for the original Death Star. On Force Friday, all major retailers will open their store and online doors at 12 am sharp, allowing fans to get their hands on all the latest action figures, books, Legos and whatever else is being planned for this galactic adventure.

While none of the new toys were revealed as part of NYTF 2016, A report from earlier this year claimed that some Rogue One: A Star Wars Story merchandise might be arriving this summer. And that may still be true. Adding to the speculation that we'd get our first Rogue One: A Star Wars Story items this summer was the fact that the official calendar for the movie was available for pre-sale on Amazon. We didn't get to see the cover of this calendar, or any of the photos that it will contain within. But we do get the promise that it will arrive in just 3 months time, debuting on June 1. This will be a full 6 months before the movie is in theaters. As of now, Amazon is no longer available, but should return soon.

You may recall that last year, spinoff star Donnie Yen revealed three Stormtrooper helmets that will be used in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Among these were a black helmet said to belong to the 'Death Troopers'. It was previously rumored that this Trooper will accompany the first wave of Rogue One action figures and toys as it's official logo, which are coming in September as part of Force Friday Part 2. This new image reveals that certainly turned out to be true! And, we're getting the new AT-ATs to boot.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story stars Felicity Jones, Mads Mikkelsen, Ben Mendelsohn, Alan Tudyk, Diego Luna, Forest Whitaker, Donnie Yen and Wen Jiang, who will all be getting their own action figures. It is also rumored to feature iconic characters such as Darth Vader, Boba Fett and a young Han Solo, though none of those surprises were revealed in the teaser trailer released yesterday. Take a look at the official Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and get very excited! This is going to be awesome.
