Last week during the Olympics, Disney and Lucasfilm finally gave fans what they have been waiting a very long time for, dropping a new, full-length trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The trailer debuted a bunch of new footage, and most importantly, gave us our first look at Darth Vader's return. Now, less than a week later, an International trailer for Rogue One has surfaced, with some bits of new footage, and some very important new dialogue.

A Rogue One Japanese trailer made its way onto YouTube Monday, which is a very welcomed surprise given how recently the North American cut of the full-length trailer debuted. In this latest sneak peek, there are a few surprises to take in, including additional dialogue that reveals a pretty big Star Wars secret. How did the Rebels get their hands on the info about the upcoming Death Star weapons test? Mon Mothma (Genevieve O'Reilly) reveals they received an encoded Imperial transmission. What is more important is that Diego Luna's character Cassian Andor confirms that it was sent by Jyn Erso's father, who is being played by Mads Mikkelsen. We still have yet to see Galen Erso in any footage, but this is the first mention of his character, and the fact that he sent the transmission is significant.

Aside from that bombshell, the rest of the new footage is in very small bits. We get to see a couple of quick, new shots of Felicity Jones as well as Riz Ahmed's character Bodhi Rook. There are also some quick action cuts, one of which showcases a nice shot of some Death Troopers, which look like they mean business. The trailer also utilizes Forrest Whitaker's dialogue as Saw Gerrera from the first teaser trailer. Not only that, but we also get to see Jyn say "May the Force be with us," which probably should have been in the main trailer. This international Rogue One trailer also clocks in at 98 seconds, a bit shorter than the trailer that dropped last week.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is a prequel movie that takes place in the time between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, but definitely bumps up much closer to A New Hope. It tells the story of how the Rebels got their hands on the plans for the Empire's planet destroying weapon, the Death Star. The band of Rebels tasked with stealing the plans is being led by Jyn Erso, who has been described as a "Joan of Arc" character by Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy. So, maybe don't get too attached. She is accompanied by a mixed bag of rag-tag Rebels who are trying to secure the plans so that the Rebel Alliance can destroy the Empire's new, deadly weapon.

There was a lot of concern over some pretty significant reshoots that director Gareth Edwards had to do for Rogue One recently, but with each new bit of footage that is coming out, we are much less worried about it. This will be the first Star Wars spinoff movie, of which Disney and Lucasfilm have many more planned. Rogue One is set for release on December 16.
