Apparently, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has wrapped shooting, though we don't have any official confirmation from Disney and LucasFilm. The production has been kept under wraps for the most part, with only the basic premise revealed. A group of Rebel soldiers will go on a mission to steal plans to the Death Star. Today, we have more information regarding one of these covert spies.

As previously announced, Chinese actor and movie director Wen Jiang, best known for movies such as Gone with the Bullets, Let the Bullets Fly and The Lost Bladesman, is playing one of these Rebel soldiers. We don't know his character's name just yet, but he can be seen in the sole cast photo officially released last year. Today, we have some new intel on just who this guy actually is.

Wen Jiang is playing the most badass freedom fighter to ever step foot in the Star Wars galaxy. And as you can see in the image we've included below, he's packing some heavy duty hardware. Wen Jiang is the weapons expert of the Rebel team. He is a blaster enthusiast, and described as a first-rate 'gun nut'. And it sounds like he might provide the otherwise serious heist thriller with some levity and humor.

One of the running gags involving Wen Jiang's character is that he is never without a gun or some kind of weapon. When he's apparently exhausted his supply of blasters, he's likely to pull a life-saving alternative from a special hiding place, which will help get the Rebels out of some tough Imperial jams.

It is suspected that the man has just as many weapons on his person and he does concealed and hidden away. Though, it isn't known if he's also proficient in using a lightsaber or riot baton. It isn't known when we'll get to see Wen Jiang in action, as a Rogue One: A Star Wars Story trailer premiere date has not yet been set. But when the trailer does drop, we're expecting to get some background info on this motley crew.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is said to be the first live-action Star Wars movie that doesn't closely follow the Skywalker family storyline. But one Skywalker will definitely be making his presence known, with Darth Vader appearing in an extended cameo. It's also rumored that Boba Fett and a young Han Solo may show up at some point. The main villain in the movie will be played by Ben Mendelsohn. You can check out Wen Jiang's character in the photo below.
