Rogue Pictures has secured the rights to remake the classic Wes Craven horror, The Last House on the Left.

The first film from the horror director hit theaters in 1972 which was about a pair of adventurous teen girls are kidnapped, raped and murdered by a gang of thugs. Variety adds the killers unwittingly hole up in the home of one victim's parents, who, upon realizing what their guests did, devise gruesome revenge.

An early 2007 production schedule is set; no release date has been released for the remake of The Last House on the Left.
