It seems that director Ron Howard is taking a break, of sorts, and venturing into a very new type of film for him. According to the Los Angeles Times' Hero Complex blog, Howard will be venturing into the world of comic book adaptations with The Adventures of H.P. Lovecraft, based off the Image Comics title.

"It very cleverly uses H.P. Lovecraft in a fictional way, but there's some loose biographical elements. But it certainly has the flavor and the tone of Lovecraft," Howard told me during an interview for an upcoming story on a different topic. "The character is a very young Lovecraft."

While it wasn't exactly clear if this would be his next film, it seemed like a strong possibility for the director. CLICK HERE for the full article on Howard's involvement with this comic book property.
