In a story from Bloody-Disgusting, it looks like Rooney Mara, who is currently playing Nancy Thompson in the A Nightmare on Elm Street reboot, will be that character in two more films if they are made.

Obviously, what happens with this new version at the box office will decide if that will happen.

The original Nightmare was written and directed by Wes Craven and released in 1984. The new project will keep the high school setting and delve deeper in the psychology of nightmares and Freddy Krueger himself.

The new A Nightmare on Elm Street comes to theaters April 16, 2010 from Warner Bros. Pictures.
