According to Variety, Summit Entertainment has scored a Teutonic double by striking a first-look deal to sell movies from Constantin, and picking up international rights to "Adrift," an American thriller from Munich-based producer Orange Pictures.

The first title covered under the Constantin agreement will be the third installment in the Resident Evil franchise, titled Resident Evil: Extinction, which is set to begin production in 2006. Russell Mulcahy will direct with Milla Jovovich reprising her starring role.
