Busy actor Ryan Reynolds is now the front-runner to star in another high profile project, Safe House, according to Heat Vision Blog.

The site reports that director Daniel Espinosa has been meeting with a host of hot talent including Tom Hardy, Zac Efron, James McAvoy, Sam Worthington and Shia LaBeouf for the role, although it seems Reynolds is now the leading candidate for the role.

If Reynolds secures the role, Reynolds would play a young FBI agent who is the only surviving agent left after an ambush on a safe house where Reynolds' character is guarding a dangerous prisoner (Denzel Washington) and Reynolds has to lead Washington to another safe house.

Daniel Espinosa is directing the film from a script by David Guggenheim, who sold his spec script to Universal back in February. No production schedule was released for the film, but we'll sure to keep you posted with any furhter Safe House updated as soon as we have more information.
