Jurassic Park was the big action blockbuster of 1993 and kickstarted one of the most popular movie franchises in history. As Jurassic World: Dominion brings the saga to a close – for now – the $5 billion dinosaur series is now bringing together its past and present together in one huge crossover event that is sure to leave fans of the saga wanting more. That includes the return of Sam Neill as Dr. Alan Grant, a character who went through his fair share of action sequences in the original Jurassic Park movie, and even returned for Jurassic Park III, but according to Neill, the real action hero of the whole franchise is Chris Pratt.

Jurassic World: Dominion picks up the story four years on from the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and sees dinosaurs living in the real world, in a Jurassic World, as it were. However, there seems to be a lot of imbalances created by that scenario, not least the fact that now and then, a T-Rex decides to go on a rampage through movie drive-thru theaters. In trying to come to a solution of how to resolve the dino-sized problem, Jurassic World regulars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard and Isabella Sermon will seek out the help of Jurassic Park stars Neill, Jeff Goldblum and Laura Dern. Speaking to Fandango, Neill commented on how Chris Pratt has brought an action hero to the franchise.

"Chris Pratt is a genuine action hero and that's something we've never really done. I mean, the truth is, we're kind of nerds in very unpleasant situations. Pratt is amazing. And I'd never really, properly considered, 'What do you do to be an action hero?' and it's a whole bunch of skills that I'd never really considered. I find him completely awesome."

Michael Crichton’s Jurassic Park novel took the scientific possibility of being able to recreate a dinosaur from fossilized DNA and created a sci-fi story that incorporated the “theme park gone wrong” idea of his earlier movie, Westworld. Following a similar story of a technologically advanced amusement park, Jurassic Park spent a lot of time delving into the science of the subject and building a tense narrative that did not have a huge amount of actual dinosaur action in it. However, the subsequent sequels have increased the dinosaur presence on screen and turned the franchise into a monster-movie action blockbuster with chases, chases and a few more chases. Oh, and people getting eaten here and there.

With Jurassic World: Dominion, the dinosaurs are no longer captive on an island, and just like the King Kong-esque ending of The Lost World, are free to mingle with the real world. While The Lost World’s ending didn’t please everyone, this time around, we are going to see a whole movie of dinosaurs in the city, the country and everywhere in between, and it is building up to be one of the biggest epics of the summer when it arrives on June 10.
