Exhibitor Daniel Crown and indie producer Daniela Taplin Lundberg have joined forces to create Red Crown Productions, which will focus on high-end specialty films in a market place filled with big budget franchise features. Their first project will be an adaptation of Joshua Hale Fialkov and Noel Tuazon's graphic novel Tumor.

A Nightmare on Elm Street director Samuel Bayer is set to helm this action-adventure, which focuses on a dying private investigator who takes on one last case. The man suffers from an inoperable brain tumor that causes him to experience time-bending hallucinations.

Red Crown is also working on a fictional tale based loosely on the life of Laura Bush entitled American Wife, as well as an adaptation of Three Wishes: A True Story of Good Friends, Crushing Heartbreak, and Astonishing Luck on Our Way to Love and Motherhood, which was written by Carey Goldberg, Beth Jones and Pamela Ferdinand and looks at the relationships between three different women on the path to motherhood.
