Samuel L. Jackson and Bernie Mac are teaming up for the Dimension Films comedy Soul Men. According to Variety, they will be playing estranged soul-singing legends who reunite for a tour.

Both Jackson and Mac will sing and dance in the film. They will play two former back-up singers who used to be part of a famous group. The two haven't seen each other in twenty years, but reluctantly decide to hit the road for a tribute performance in honor of their recently deceased bandleader.

Robert Ramsey and Matthew Stone co-wrote the screenplay, which is being produced by David Friendly and Steven Greener. The film will begin shooting on January 15th.
