It seems that Quentin Tarantino's new film just added a few more to the fray. According to The Playlist, Samuel L. Jackson and Maggie Cheung have joined the cast of Inglourious Basterds.

Cheung will play Madame Mimeux, the owner of a French movie theater who provides refuge for Melanie Laurent's Shosanna character. Jackson, who apparently called Tarantino himself when he learned he hadn't been up for a role, is now on board as the film's narrator, apparently popping up from time to time providing background context.

The film is currently shooting in Germany and it's been said they're aiming a 2009 release, possibly at the Cannes Film Festival.
