While the casting uncertainties continue to mount around certain Marvel Studios films, it seems they've locked in one actor for a very long haul. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Samuel L. Jackson has inked an unprecedented nine-picture deal with Marvel Studios to portray Nick Fury.

Jackson, who was apparently at odds with the studio over his role just weeks ago, is now locked in to appear as Fury in Iron Man 2, Thor, The First Avenger: Captain America, The Avengers and those films' sequels.

The actor, who first appeared as the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Fury after the end credits of Iron Man, is said to also possibly star in a S.H.I.E.L.D. feature that is in the works.
