New Line Cinema has brought on Carlton Cuse to write their upcoming action film San Andreas: 3D.

The film is set in California after a massive earthquake, and follows a man who must navigate the state to rescue his daughter. The film was originally written by Andre Fabrizio and Jeremy Passmore then re-written by Allan Loeb.

Brad Peyton is directing the film for New Line with Beau Flynn producing.

Carlton Cuse is best known for writing and producing ABC's hit series Lost.
