The Hobbit is currently in production in New Zealand, with Peter Jackson directing this two-part prequel. Back in January, we reported that young actress Saoirse Ronan had joined the cast, although it seems she is still not confirmed for the Middle Earth saga. Here's what she recently had to say below.

"That's not confirmed. I would love to do it. It would be great to go there, and if they ask me I would say yes."

The actress, who previously worked with director Peter Jackson on The Lovely Bones, was reportedly circling the role of Itaril. There is speculation that her involvement in The Hobbit will not be announced until her new movie Hanna hits theaters on April 8, in a bid to drum up some publicity for that much smaller film.
