Hot dogs and hot dog buns have long been used to convey sexual innuendo in movies and TV shows, but the unique animated comedy Sausage Party puts a new twist on things. Today we have an age-restricted clip, following the red band trailer that debuted at Comic-Con last month, which shows one particular fancy dog, Carl (Jonah Hill), flirting with a group of delicious buns, lead by Brenda (Kristen Wiig). As you can see in this sneak peek, in this unusual animated world that Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg created, our food is just as sexually suggestive as humans themselves.

Sausage Party, the first R-rated CG animated movie, is about one sausage leading a group of supermarket products on a quest to discover the truth about their existence and what really happens when they become chosen to leave the grocery store. The film features the vocal talents of a who's who of today's comedy stars - Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Jonah Hill, Bill Hader, Michael Cera, James Franco, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Paul Rudd, Nick Kroll, David Krumholtz, Edward Norton and Salma Hayek. Sony Pictures debuted this new clip, which features one of Brenda's bun friends ruining a joke she was trying to make.

We saw in an extended TV spot last month that, eventually, humans begin to realize their food can talk, with another PSA debuting during the 4th of July holiday that asks for fans to destroy their own BBQs over the holiday. The movie has always been described as a spoof of Pixar movies, but last month, the movie's trailer accidentally was shown in front of an audience who had paid to see Pixar's Finding Dory. The movie theater revealed that the manager had been switching movies into different theaters to accommodate the demand for Finding Dory, and the wrong movie was started, which lead to the trailer being shown.

Producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are responsible for writing the script for the film, their first attempt at doing a full-length animated feature. The duo previously penned the script for teen classic Superbad and stoner adventure Pineapple Express. They made their directorial debut with 2014's This is the End, and directed the pilot for AMC's summer series Preacher, which has already been renewed for a Second season.

Greg Tiernan and Conrad Vernon direct this animated horror comedy, after establishing themselves in traditional animated fare. Greg Tiernan is best known for his work on the Thomas & Friends franchise, while Conrad Vernon has directed animated blockbusters such as Shrek 2, Monsters vs. Aliens and Madagascar 3. Sausage Party is hitting theaters on August 12, where it will be going up against Disney's family adventure reboot Pete's Dragon and Paramount's true story adaptation Florence Foster Jenkins starring Meryl Streep. Take a look at this new red band clip, which does feature adult language and sexual innuendo, and should only be watched by viewers over the age of 18.
