Lionsgate has a big reason to smile...

In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, they say that Saw III was tops on both the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert Top 20 chart and Home Media Magazine's video rental chart.

Saw III was such a strong title that it even boosted the performance of the earlier films. The original Saw placed 16th and Saw II came in 15th spot on the Nielsen chart.

The Guardian debuted strongly taking the No. 2 position in both sales and rentals, while The Invincible Iron Man bowed strongly in the third spot. Hanging on at No. 4 was Gridiron Gang.

Closing out on the rental charts at No. 3 was last weeks top renter Employee of the Month.
