15 years after his cult classic The Room debuted, director/star Tommy Wiseau is more popular than ever, thanks to director/star James Franco's The Disaster Artist, and now he has a new movie coming out entitled Scary Love. The first trailer debuted today, and while it doesn't offer too much footage, we get our first glimpse at Tommy Wiseau, playing a hardened bounty hunter. Here's the official synopsis for Scary Love below.

"In a bleak Los Angeles of the future Tommy Wiseau plays a bounty hunter in search of his long lost love. But while the Wars of Cancellation have turned his city to rubble his search for love is rife with complications in a population full of mutants, freaks, and cannibals. The film is directed by Jennifer Juniper Stratford whose production company Telefantasy Studios has been churning out subversive content for over a decade and garnered its own cult following. Scary Love is her first collaboration with legendary filmmaker Tommy Wiseau and casts him as the leading man. It's a science fiction tale told in the style of classic B-movies and outfitted with practical special effects, laser beams, and lunatic ideas."

No release plan has been put in place at this time, and it isn't known when we may see more from Scary Love, or if the film is planning on hitting the festival circuit. The film has already been completely shot, but there is no word on any supporting cast members at this time. With Tommy Wiseau's popularity at perhaps an all-time high, there could not be a better time than now to unveil this new movie, although there is not much footage shown, with narration from Honest Trailer's Jon Bailey, a.k.a. Epic Voice Guy.

While we may have to wait awhile to find out more about Scary Love, fans will be able to see Tommy Wiseau reunite with his The Room co-star Greg Sestero later this month. Fathom Events announced last month that they will be screening the new film Best F(r)iends, directed by Justin MacGregor (The Generations) from a script by Greg Sestero. The story follows a drifter (Sestero) who meets and befriends a mortician (Wiseau) as they go on a wild adventure together, hatching an underground enterprise. The story was inspired by a road trip both Wiseau and Sestero took after production on The Room wrapped.

Best F(r)iends will be released in two volumes, with Volume 1 debuting in theaters through Fathom Events for just two nights only, on Friday, March 30 and Monday, April 2. Volume 2 will arrive on Friday, June 1, and Monday, June 4, with all screenings at 8 PM local time. As for Scary Love, it remains to be seen when we'll find out more details about this project, including whether or not it has found a studio home or a distributor, and when this may be released. Until then, take a look at this new trailer, which debuted on The Hollywood Reporter before Tommy Wiseau showcased the trailer on his own YouTube page.
