Sci Fi Channel has renewed Who Wants to Be a Superhero?, greenlighting an expanded 10-episode second season of the superhero reality show, according to Variety.
Stan Lee's Pow! Entertainment and Bruce Nash Entertainment will continue to executive produce the show, with new episodes slated for a premiere next summer.
The six-episode first season averaged 1.5 million viewers, beating year-ago averages by 74% in adults 18-49 and by 44% in adults 25-54.
The show tests the alter egos of aspiring superheroes in a series of challenges judged by Lee, who will create a comicbook based on the winning character.
