Steve Urkel is back in the new Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? series. Jaleel White made the character famous in the early 1990s on Family Matters, but he hadn't portrayed the character in 20 years. However, when he was approached about a cameo on the new series, which airs on the Boomerang streaming service, he could not pass up the opportunity to star alongside Scoob and the gang. And from the looks of things, not a lot of people turned down the chance to star alongside Scooby-Doo.

Jaleel White posted an image of the cartoon version of Steve Urkel in the Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? show on social media and he could not be happier about it. In the image, we see Scooby, Shaggy, Fred, Velma, and Daphne as they look on at Urkel and his infamous Urkelbot. White had this to say about the cameo and his appreciation for Hanna Barbera.

"Walked in that booth after 20 years and voiced him like it was nuthin, #SteveUrkel #UrkelBot. Hanna Barbera once gifted me an animation cell I have til' this day. To be ON screen with Scoob And Shaggy solving a mystery is bucket list stuff Enjoy! And my daughter STILL thinks she cooler than me!"

In addition to Jaleel White's Steve Urkel, the Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? series will also feature Ricky Gervais, Kenan Thompson, Jim Gaffigan, Wanda Sykes, Whoopi Goldberg, Mark Hamill, Penn & Teller, Bill Nye, Neil deGrasse Tyson, basketball's Chris Paul, and "Weird Al" Yankovic. Singers Sia and Halsey are also on board for the new series which will eventually premiere on the Cartoon Network after the initial run on the Boomerang streaming platform. No release date has been set for the Cartoon Network debut.

Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? is scheduled to premiere on the Boomerang streaming service and app on June 27th, 2019. The show takes Scooby, Shaggy, Fred, Velma, and Daphne on some of the biggest adventures they've been on thus far and meeting more people than they ever have. The original Scooby-Doo series featured a variety of guests throughout the years and the new series seems to be carrying on that tradition, which long-time fans are sure to appreciate.

Boomerang recently released a trailer for Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?, which features Sherlock Holmes assisting Shaggy and Wonder Woman fighting a minotaur. Wanda Sykes is also spotted running away from a monster with Scooby. Scooby is later shown scarfing some hot dogs in Wonder Woman's invisible jet. In other words, it looks great. New episodes will premiere every Thursday on the Boomerang streaming platform before heading over to Cartoon Network, where it will undoubtedly be seen by a lot more people. While we wait for the first episode to premiere, you can check out Jaleel White's Instagram preview along with the first trailer below.
