Everyone is familiar with the Scooby-Doo franchise, which centers on a group of teenagers who solve mysteries with the help of their dog named Scooby-Doo. Ever since its first release, the franchise saw only a bloom, and now, even more than 50 years later, it is still going strong. No one can deny the fact that this series will continue to play a significant role in children's childhoods for many years to come. With that being said, this franchise has seen various variations and has had a myriad of amazing moments to look back on. Here are some of the best moments from the franchise, ranked.

Mystery Mask Mixes Up

The episode centers around when the gang is roaming Chinatown, and Daphne buys a fascinating mask, which is allegedly cursed. This somehow led to the gang getting transported to the evil temple of Zen Tuo, an evil ancient figure. However, later they discover that Zen Tuo is nothing more than a dangerous smuggler who has a massive smuggling ring behind the entire ghost act. The best moment in this episode comes at the very end, when Scooby and Shaggy want to know what their next meal will be, so Velma offers them a Scooby Snack. Although, when she tosses them in the air, both end up fumbling and hitting the floor only to get knocked out momentarily. During this moment of unconsciousness, a rat comes out and takes both Scooby Snacks for itself. The episode ends in laughter and classic Scooby-Doo style, making it a moment to remember for the audience as well.

The Secret of Shark Island

If one is a huge fan of old American pop singers, they would certainly know of the most talented singer, Cher. Scooby-Doo has always tried to incorporate current pop culture references somehow into its episode, and "The Secret of Shark Island" is breathing proof of it. The episode is about the gang getting stranded on Shark Island and deciding to look into the enigmatic disappearance of a freight ship. However, besides the poor accommodations, a huge shark is lurking on the grounds of resorts. The best moment in this episode has to be when the team finds Sonny and Cher stranded and decides to give them a lift, and together they solve the mystery behind the mysterious shark. This guest appearance is such an enthralling experience for all fans of both show and the Sonny Cher duo, to see their favorites from a fictional and non-fictional world come together to solve a mystery. Thus, it will remain forever memorable.

A Gaggle of Galloping Ghosts

Just like the name of this episode suggests, this contains a good punch of ghosts for the audience to have a good time. From werewolves, and vampires to Frankenstein, it has it all! Truly, the count of all the undead monsters in this episode is really high. In this episode, the gang is on an excursion to Franken Castle. And upon seeing a cart with fortune-tellers, the gang decides to get their fortune read. The fortune-teller warns them to not go further as it will lead to only bad things. In spite of the warning, the gang doesn't listen, and this begins a series of spooky adventures. The best moment in this episode is when Shaggy and Scooby, in order to save Daphne, swing across the whole castle to open the drawbridge. While trying to open the door, a werewolf comes in behind Shaggy and tries to scare him. Shaggy, thinking it is Scooby behind him, starts bickering with him. However, upon finding out who actually was behind him, Shaggy’s fazed face is the absolute highlight of the episode.

Which Witch is Which?

CBS

This episode is a perfect episode to re-watch during the spooky season. It contains a knack for everything, from voodoo dolls to black magic. The episode focuses on a time when the gang is going home after a fishing trip. However, along the way, they ran into a zombie and a witch who has been terrorizing the swamp and scaring every person off. The best moment in this episode is without a doubt when the whole gang finds their own voodoo dolls in the swamp. This led to Shaggy being classic Shaggy and thinking he was "Voodooed" by Scooby, when he had just backed into the fork. Not only this, but Daphne also disappears. This series of creepy incidents will keep the audience hooked to their seats, wondering whether the team was actually "Voodooed" or if it is just another elaborate plan of criminals which, like always, Scooby and the team will end up solving.

A Night of Fright is No Delight

A Night of Fright is No Delight

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment

This episode definitely has one of the greatest moments in the entire series! The episode revolves around a classic element of a lonely millionaire, who passes away and leaves his entire property to his heirs and Scooby for saving his life many years ago. However, there is only one catch. That is, in order to share the fortune, they need to spend a night in the haunted mansion of the Colonel. Upon staying there, two green phantoms start haunting all the heirs. Nonetheless, the best moment in the episode is at the end, after Scooby ends up receiving all the money as he is the only heir on the mansion's grounds. He is already daydreaming about things he will do once he is rich. His happiness soon shatters down when he realizes that his money is entirely worthless as it is confederate money. All that hassle for money ends up going to waste! What's more, Sam and Dean from Supernatural made their first appearance into the Scooby-Doo universe. Fans of Supernatural can watch as the crossover unravels into a funny one.

Scooby’s Night with a Frozen Fright

Scooby’s Night with a Frozen Fright
CBS
HBO

This episode is one of the most memorable episodes, in its entirety. It is the third episode of the second season of the show. It begins with Shaggy surf-fishing. While trying to catch a fish, he ends up catching a caveman who is frozen in an ice block. Not knowing exactly what to do, they take the block to the local aquarium. This is when the real story begins to unfold, as they find the ice has completely melted and the caveman is now alive. The episode in itself is such a delightful experience. However, what makes it so special and gives it the throne of number one on this list, is the very last scene when the audience, along with the team, unmasks the actual culprit. This is when the audience hears the iconic phrase “I would have gotten away if it weren’t for you meddling kids” for the first time, which after that becomes a huge part of their brand in all the episodes to come. In addition, it will forever remain engraved in audiences' minds whenever anyone mentions Scooby-Doo.
