Scott Rudin is planning to produce a film based on Philip Roth's novel Indignation. According to Variety, the novel will be published this September through Houghton Mifflin.

The plot follows the son of a Newark Butcher in 1951. He must face anti-Semitism, sexual repression and the escalating Korean War as he comes of age at a Midwestern Lutheran college. Rudin stated, "It is a completely remarkable book. I've been a maniacal fan of Roth's for years and waited for the one I thought could really be a great movie. It has remarkable movie potential."

The film does not have a set start date at this time.
