It seems that the man who brought Asgard to life will be sticking around the comic book genre for a little while longer. Variety is reporting that Thor screenwriter Mark Protosevich will be adapting Freakshow as his next film.

Protosevich will write the film and will produce alongside Sheldon Turner and Jennifer Klein and it was also said that Protosevich could make his directorial debut as well.

The story revolves around five young people who are turned into mutants with special powers after a chemical explosion and they must decide whether to use their powers to save the city or to exact revenge on those responsible for the explosion.

The comic book will be released in January through the imprint Ape Entertainment, which was created by David Server and Jackson Lanzing, with Joe Suitor providing the artwork. The site also reports that Ape Entertainment will be selling advance copies of the comic book, which will be released in a three-issue mini-series, at the San Diego Comic-Con this week.
