NBC has announced today that it is making its presence felt in San Diego later this month. The network announced that it will be bringing its brand new fall series The Event to the San Diego Comic-Con 2010. Below are all the details on the pilot episode screening that will be followed by a Q&A session.

Comic-Con fans in San Diego will watch the world premiere pilot screening of NBC's high-octane conspiracy thriller The Event. Debuting on NBC this fall, "The Event" follows an unlikely hero who gets entangled in one of the government's biggest cover-up operations that could ultimately change the fate of mankind.

News' Kristin Dos Santos, participate in a Q&A session with the cast - Jason Ritter (The Class), Blair Underwood (In Treatment), Laura Innes (ER), Sarah Roemer (Disturbia), Zeljko Ivanek (Damages), Ian Anthony Dale (DayBreak) - and the producers - Evan Katz (24); Steve Stark (Medium); Jeffrey Reiner (Friday Night Lights), Nick Wauters (The 4400) and Jim Wong (The X-Files).

The Event is an emotional high-octane conspiracy thriller that follows Sean Walker (Jason Ritter), an Everyman who investigates the mysterious disappearance of his fiancée, Leila (Sarah Roemer), and unwittingly begins to expose the biggest cover-up in U.S. history. Sean's quest will send ripples through the lives of an eclectic band of strangers, including: newly elected U.S. President Martinez (Blair Underwood); Sophia (Laura Innes), who is the leader of a mysterious group of detainees; and Sean's shadowy father-in-law (Scott Patterson). Their futures are on a collision course in a global conspiracy that could ultimately change the fate of mankind. Ian Anthony Dale, Taylor Cole, Bill Smitrovich, Lisa Vidal and Emmy winner Zeljko Ivanek also star in the ensemble drama. The Event is a production of Universal Media Studios and Steve Stark Productions. Stark serves as executive producer, Evan Katz serves as executive producer/showrunner, Nick Wauters is creator/co-executive producer and Jeffrey Reiner is the director/executive producer. The Event airs on Mondays at 9-10 p.m. ET on NBC this fall.
