Apparently Sean Astin got the TV acting bug from his role on Fox's 24 this season.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Rudy star is in negotiations to join the cast of ABC's comedy pilot The Guys. The show focuses on five guys who become friends after their children become friends. Sean will play opposite Malcolm in the Middle's David Anthony Higgins.

In other TV news, Jennifer Esposito has been in talks to be the lead in Fox's comedy pilot More, Patience. The show is about a New York psychiatrist who has her own personal problems; Alicia Witt is already attached.

Bring it On star, Lindsay Sloane has become the female lead opposite Nick Lachey in the new CW comedy pilot She Said/He Said, previously just known as The Untitled Nick Lachey Project. The show will focus on newlyweds Nick and Lindsay as they attempt to balance a normal life and Nick's career as a famous baseball player.

Roger Bart, formally of Desperate Housewives, has joined Tom Cavanagh in CBS' comedy pilot My Ex-Life.

Emmy winner and legendary actress Cloris Leachman has been added to the cast of NBC's Untitled Chris Sheridan Project. Chris is a former writer of Family Guy. The show has already secured Bruno Campos and Eddie McClintock.

Paul Michael Glaser, star of the original Starsky & Hutch, has been added to Fox's drama pilot Faceless about a federal prosecutor who takes on the world of organized crime. The cast already includes Sean Bean, Roxanna Brusso, and Maury Sterling.
