Season 4 of Alan Ball's hit vampire series True Blood is set to premiere this summer on HBO. A new teaser trailer featuring the amnesiac Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) wandering shirtless down a deserted road proves that "waiting sucks", and you can check it out in the clip below. As well, a True Blood Season 4 poster was exclusively commissioned for this year's Paleyfest. You can check that out below as well.
While at Paleyfest, Alan Ball divulged some of Season 4's secrets. Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) will be going in a whole new direction, as his memory is gone. He will be showing a softer side, but it isn't clear yet how this will impact his relationship with Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin).
Wiccans will be introduced to Bon Temps, their will be the appearance of new "Shifters", and Season 4 will see guest turns from Evan Rachel Wood and Fiona Shaw. Gary Cole will be introducing a new reoccurring character as well. Overall, Alan Ball stated that Season 4 is about the "duality of existence".
