There's not a lot of people who would've thought that Grover would be the first to use bad language on Sesame Street. If one had to take a stab in the dark, Oscar the Grouch seems like a pretty likely candidate to mutter an expletive under his breath or maybe even Cookie Monster after finding out that someone got into his stash. However, there are many people who believe that Grover just dropped an F-bomb on the beloved children's show.

In the Sesame Street clip in question, Grover is having an animated discussion with Rosita, who is holding a smartphone. While just looking at a Sesame Street character holding a smartphone is kind of a bummer alone, it's what Grover is saying that has caught all of the attention. If you listen carefully, you can hear Grover say, "Yes, yes, that's a f*cking excellent idea!" At least that's what people think that he's saying. As it turns out, if that's what you want to hear, you're going to hear that blue puppet say the F-word.

Upon a few other listens, Grover can be heard actually saying, "Yes, yes, that sounds like an excellent idea." But, it sounds really close to being some foul language on Sesame Street courtesy of Grover. As with most things online, a small debate has started about whether or not the children's show let some bad language make it on the air. It really does come down to what you want to hear when listening, but at first listen, it really does sound like Grover is super excited about whatever he and Rosita are about to get into.

This has obviously brought up comparisons to the Yanny vs. Laurel debate that gained popularity in May of this year. But, this really seems like an unfortunate side effect from the selection of words and the voice of Grover. This doesn't seem to be a blue vs. gold dress debacle or anything like that. This is Sesame Street doing what they do best, which is entertain and educate children. With that being said, representatives from the show have yet to address the subject as of this writing.

Donald Duck was once accused of saying something far worse in Who Framed Roger Rabbit. The scene includes Donald and Daffy Duck playing dueling pianos, and they're getting pretty competitive. Daffy makes a crack at Donald, to which he says something that resembles the N-word. For years, people have believed that's what Donald really said, but it has been proven that he actually called Daffy a nitwit, but because he his voice is so exaggerated, it sounds like he's using another word instead. Whatever the case may be, you can take a listen to Grover and hear whatever you want to hear below, thanks to the Droop Snoop YouTube channel.
