It will be the end of an era for millions of Muggles next summer when the incredibly successful Harry Potter film series inevitably comes to an end with the release of the eighth and final movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II. But before then, fans will have the chance to watch the first part of this final installment in the fall of 2010, when Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I is released on November 19th. The movie is based on author J.K. Rowling's final novel about the boy wizard, and producers felt that there was so much important stuff that they wanted to fit in from the book that they needed to split the movie in two, in order to do that.
Last March we had the opportunity to travel to London and visit the set while they were shooting the two films simultaneously. Not only did we have the opportunity to watch them shoot, and take a tour of the massive and impressive Leavesden Studios, but we also had a chance to speak with several members of the cast and crew including director David Yates, producer David Barron and actors Mark Williams, Evanna Lynch, James and Oliver Phelps, Warwick Davis, Rupert Grint and of course ... Harry himself, Daniel Radcliffe.
We wanted to let you know that coverage of our set visit to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I will begin running on October 5th at 9AM (PST). So be sure to have your wands ready and check back with us in a few weeks to learn everything you need to know about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I!
