In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, Seth Gordon (Four Christmases) is presently circling Sony's King Dork. The film is a high school "dramedy" that is based on Frank Portman's novel.

The film is being produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay's Gary Sanchez Productions.

Portman's book, which came out in 2006, follows teenager Tom Henderson, a loner who finds solace in music. He starts doing a lot of research to find out about how his father really died.
